Official Rules: Beer Ball
- Field. Two lines about 30 feet apart. The target stands on a spot halfway between: an empty can or bottle, a third full of water.
- Cans. One unopened can per player, on the line at their feet. Everyone opens on the whistle.
- Throw. Teams alternate, one throw per turn, feet behind the line. No one moves until the throw hits or misses.
- Hit. The target falls. The throwing team picks up their cans and drinks.
- Run. The defenders stand the target up, fetch the ball and get everyone back behind their line.
- Stop. Then the defenders call "Stop!" and the throwers put their cans down.
- Infractions cost your next throw: drinking early or late, holding your can, stepping over the line, knocking over your own can.
- Can check. Finished? Turn your can upside down over your head. If it drips, you're not finished.
- First team with every can checked wins. The losers finish their cans.
